Job description

Job Summary:
Saviance is seeking a Sr. Contentful Engineer/SME to lead the development and implementation of an Enterprise Contentful CMS platform. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Contentful-based applications, integrating with other systems, and optimizing performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and maintain Contentful-based applications
• Integrate Contentful with other systems and services
• Create custom content models and content types
• Develop Contentful integrations and extensions
• Implement automated testing and quality assurance processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and developers
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Contentful-based applications
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Contentful developments, trends and technologies
• Work alongside software developers and architects, UX / UI visual designers and architects, and product developers
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and approaches
• Experience in Agile development practices
• Proven ability to be effective and adaptable in response to frequent change and ambiguity
• Migrate Sharepoint content to Contentful by mapping it to the Contentful data model and building necessary tools to automate the task.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in web development, including 3+ years of experience with Contentful
• Expert-level knowledge of Contentful platform and web development technologies such as React, Node.js, and CSS
• Experience with integrating Contentful with other systems and services
• Proficiency in writing maintainable and scalable code
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to Contentful data modeling
• Implementing according to designs visuals for components and individual pages
• Experience in integrating 3rd party services (translation) to Contentful
• Advanced React front end skills, nodejs, typescript.
• Static HTML and SSR experience
• Knowledge about visualizing Contentful data for the web
Preferred:
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform is a plus
