Work Arrangement: Remote, with occasional travel and live-production support as required

Company Overview:
Our client is a leading global sports media and entertainment organization delivering live programming and digital content across multiple platforms. Their creative and technology teams combine storytelling, advanced broadcast technology, data, and real-time graphics to produce compelling live viewing experiences for audiences worldwide.
This is a highly collaborative, deadline-driven production environment where creativity, technical expertise, accuracy, and innovation are critical.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Real-Time Graphics Developer to design, develop, deploy, and support sophisticated real-time graphics for live event and studio productions.
This role blends real-time graphics development, broadcast technology, 2D/3D animation, scripting, workflow development, and creative design. The Senior Developer will primarily work within Ross XPression, with additional exposure to Vizrt, and will independently own complex graphics packages from development through deployment and live-production support.
The ideal candidate brings significant experience developing real-time graphics within a major television network, broadcast studio, sports media organization, or production company and is comfortable operating in high-pressure live-production environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot real-time graphics for live event and studio productions.
  • Primarily utilize Ross XPression, with additional use of Vizrt, to build and implement sophisticated broadcast graphics.
  • Independently develop and maintain complex event and studio graphics directories and packages.
  • Take technical ownership of graphics builds from initial concept through deployment and live-production support.
  • Create high-quality 2D and 3D graphics and animation using Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, and related tools.
  • Translate creative direction and production requirements into customized graphics, animations, layouts, and real-time experiences.
  • Develop specialty graphics solutions involving augmented reality, virtual studios, touchscreens, interactive graphics, and data visualization.
  • Develop scripts, tools, workflows, and processes that improve graphics development and production efficiency.
  • Research, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues involving graphics software, animation, hardware, data integration, and production workflows.
  • Partner with producers, designers, management, technical teams, and other stakeholders to establish deliverables and ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Support graphics playout systems, studio builds, hardware and software upgrades, and implementation of new production technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to graphics developers, freelancers, remote production personnel, and external production partners.
  • Mentor and train less-experienced developers and contribute to technical onboarding and training initiatives.
  • Maintain established broadcast design standards and identify inconsistencies or deviations from approved graphic formats.
  • Maintain organized project files, graphics directories, archives, and retrieval processes.
  • Evaluate emerging real-time graphics technologies and identify opportunities to enhance live broadcast experiences.
  • Maintain exceptional standards for accuracy, visual quality, consistency, and timely delivery in deadline-driven production environments.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience designing and developing graphics for live productions within a major television network, broadcast studio, sports media organization, or production company.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with a real-time graphics platform such as Ross XPression or Vizrt.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting real-time graphics in live event or studio production environments.
  • Advanced 2D and 3D animation capabilities.
  • Strong typography, layout, composition, and visual design expertise.
  • Strong understanding of broadcast television technology, graphics workflows, and live-production environments.
  • Ability to independently develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and support complex real-time graphics packages.
  • Experience developing or improving graphics workflows, scripts, tools, or production processes.
  • Proven ability to independently research and resolve complex technical and creative challenges.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across creative, technical, production, and leadership teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including accuracy in spelling, grammar, layout, data, and graphic execution.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new software, technologies, techniques, and production workflows.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasionally travel based on live-production requirements.
  • Online portfolio or demo reel demonstrating relevant real-time and/or live broadcast graphics work is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of live sports broadcast graphics experience, supporting event and/or studio productions.
  • Advanced expertise with Ross XPression.
  • Working knowledge of Vizrt and Viz Trio.
  • Experience with graphics playout systems and workflows within live-production environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of 3D graphics, modeling, and animation.
  • Experience with Cinema 4D and/or Maya.
  • Scripting or programming experience using Visual Basic/Viz Scripting, C#, JavaScript, C++, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing or supporting augmented reality, virtual studios, interactive graphics, touchscreens, or data visualization.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or providing technical leadership to graphics developers.
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in sports and sports culture.

What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a highly skilled developer who sits at the intersection of creative design, real-time graphics technology, and live broadcast production.
The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of sophisticated graphics packages from concept through live deployment, troubleshooting technical issues under tight production deadlines, and collaborating with both creative and highly technical stakeholders.
This individual should be a hands-on developer who can operate independently while also serving as a technical resource to the broader graphics team. Curiosity and innovation are equally important, particularly the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and translate them into practical improvements for live-production workflows.
