Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Content Writer based in Netherlands.

As a Technical Content Writer, you will own how complex cybersecurity and AI technology is communicated to the world. You will transform security research, engineering insights, and sophisticated technical concepts into authoritative and engaging content for practitioners and broader audiences. Your work will span deep-dive articles, technical explainers, whitepapers, product content, and social media adaptations. You will collaborate directly with founders, researchers, and senior engineers to source information and ensure technical accuracy. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape the technical voice and content strategy of a growing applied AI business. You will work remotely within an international, highly technical environment at the intersection of cybersecurity, AI, and autonomous systems.

Accountabilities
  • Own the technical content strategy and manage content production from research and ideation through writing, review, publication, and iteration.
  • Produce high-quality technical blog posts, deep-dive explainers, whitepapers, product breakdowns, and other authoritative content based on cybersecurity research and engineering work.
  • Translate complex security workflows, technical concepts, and AI developments into clear, accurate, and compelling content for both specialist and broader audiences.
  • Work directly with founders, researchers, engineers, and other technical experts to gather source material, develop story angles, and validate technical accuracy.
  • Identify relevant cybersecurity and AI trends, research developments, industry news, and emerging topics that can inform timely and valuable content.
  • Repurpose long-form technical material into concise, engaging content for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and other relevant channels.
  • Support conference and industry event activity through technical write-ups, event coverage, research summaries, and post-event content.
  • Develop and maintain a lightweight content pipeline, coordinating topics, sources, deadlines, reviews, and publication schedules.
  • Monitor content performance and audience engagement, using insights to refine topics, formats, messaging, and distribution.
  • Incorporate AI-powered tools into research, writing, editing, and content-production workflows to improve efficiency without compromising accuracy or quality.
  • Help establish a consistent and credible technical voice across the website, company content channels, and external communications.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, content creation, cybersecurity communications, or a related hybrid role.
  • Hands-on cybersecurity experience or a substantive professional background in the field is required; you should understand the subject matter as a practitioner rather than approach it purely as an external writer.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and publishing technical content, with examples such as deep-dive articles, technical explainers, whitepapers, research-based content, or documentation.
  • Experience contributing to or working with established cybersecurity media and publications, such as The Hacker News, Dark Reading, BleepingComputer, SecurityWeek, CyberScoop, or comparable outlets.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity topics and the ability to engage credibly with security practitioners, researchers, and technical experts.
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills, with the ability to adjust tone, depth, and complexity for both highly technical and general audiences.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for content creation, research, ideation, editing, or related workflows.
  • Ability to independently research unfamiliar technical subjects, identify compelling angles, and turn complex source material into structured, readable content.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a lightweight editorial pipeline, content calendar, sourcing process, and deadlines.
  • Proactive, highly autonomous, and ownership-driven approach, with the ability to operate effectively in an early-stage and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy, credibility, and responsible communication.
  • Comfortable collaborating directly with founders and senior technical stakeholders and incorporating feedback while maintaining a strong editorial point of view.
  • Interest in the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging autonomous technologies is highly valuable.
  • A portfolio of published technical writing, research-driven content, or other relevant work should be available for review.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Fully remote working environment.
  • Flexible work setup designed to support autonomy and productivity.
  • Significant ownership over a core content and communications function.
  • Direct collaboration with founders, researchers, senior engineers, and other technical experts.
  • High autonomy and the opportunity to influence product direction and external positioning.
  • Opportunity to shape the technical voice and content strategy of a growing applied AI and cybersecurity organization.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge work at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems.
  • Opportunity to work on technology designed for high-stakes, real-world security environments.
  • International, highly technical, and mission-driven team.
  • Adaptive role structure with room for exceptional talent to expand their responsibilities and define their own path.
  • Opportunity to contribute during an important growth phase in an emerging and rapidly evolving technology category.
