Location: Remote within the U.S. – Eastern Time Zone preferred
Pay Rate: $45–$50/hr
Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension
Start Date: Targeting 09/28/2026
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM


About the Role:
SiriusXM is looking for a Digital Content Editor to support the day-to-day operation of the SiriusXM Blog. This is a hands-on editorial role for a strong writer and editor who can work quickly and independently across music, entertainment, sports, podcasts, news, and SiriusXM programming.

The ideal candidate has strong digital writing and editing skills, hands-on WordPress and SEO experience, and familiarity with LLM/AI-assisted content workflows. This person will identify timely content opportunities, create compelling consumer-facing stories, optimize content for search, and manage posts through the full publishing process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, optimize, publish, and update content for the SiriusXM Blog
  • Identify timely and trending opportunities across entertainment, music, sports, podcasts, and programming
  • Monitor search behavior, news, and entertainment trends to proactively identify editorial opportunities
  • Evaluate interviews, transcripts, audio/video clips, press materials, and programming information to develop strong story angles
  • Write and optimize headlines, title tags, meta descriptions, URLs, subheads, internal links, and other on-page SEO elements
  • Manage the full WordPress publishing workflow, including formatting, tagging, imagery, metadata, scheduling, publishing, and QA
  • Apply SEO best practices and search intent principles to maximize organic visibility
  • Source, select, crop, and prepare editorial imagery using approved assets and Getty Images
  • Use LLMs and generative AI tools for research, ideation, drafting, headline development, SEO optimization, and other editorial workflows
  • Fact-check and refine AI-assisted content to ensure accuracy and editorial quality
  • Maintain and update high-performing and evergreen content as information changes
  • Create recurring promotional, presale, poll/countdown, and other content pages using established templates
  • Create tracked URLs and deep links to support content and drive listeners into the SiriusXM app
  • Perform pre- and post-publication QA to ensure content, links, images, metadata, and formatting are accurate
  • Manage multiple requests and deadlines across Programming, Marketing, PR, Promotions, Sports, Music, and other teams


Requirements:

  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and headline-writing skills
  • Professional experience creating digital editorial content, preferably in entertainment, music, sports, media, or pop culture
  • Strong hands-on experience with WordPress or a comparable CMS
  • Working knowledge of SEO, including search intent, title tags, meta descriptions, internal linking, URL structure, and content freshness
  • Strong familiarity with Google Search, digital news, and trending content cycles
  • Demonstrated experience using LLMs and generative AI in professional content workflows
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to independently fact-check AI-assisted content
