Logistics Coordinator- Columbus, GA


The Logistics Coordinator supports the Savannah terminal's daily activities by coordinating dispatch operations, managing customer orders, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring efficient execution of transportation services. This position plays a key role in maintaining service levels, supporting terminal operations, and contributing to the Company's continued growth.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Operations Support

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Savannah terminal.
  • Support dispatch activities and monitor active orders.
  • Coordinate appointments and scheduling requirements.
  • Track container movements and shipment status.
  • Help ensure customer commitments and service expectations are met.


Customer Service & Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, scheduling requests, service inquiries, and operational updates.
  • Maintain professional customer relationships through timely and accurate communication.
  • Respond to customer concerns and assist in resolving service-related issues.


Order Management & Administrative Support

  • Enter, update, maintain, and close customer orders within company systems.
  • Verify documentation, proof of delivery, and operational records.
  • Maintain accurate records and support administrative functions related to terminal operations.
  • Assist with reporting and data management as required.


Dispatch & Driver Support

  • Assist with dispatch activities and provide operational support to drivers.
  • Communicate scheduling information, appointments, and service updates.
  • Help resolve operational issues that impact service performance.
  • Provide dispatch coverage when management is unavailable and operational needs require it.


Team Collaboration & Problem Resolution

  • Work collaboratively with drivers, customers, vendors, and management to resolve operational challenges.
  • Support daily workflow requirements and contribute to efficient terminal operations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and operational best practices.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Support evolving operational needs as business requirements change.
  • Assume additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Contribute to the Company's growth, customer service objectives, and operational excellence.


Schedule & Work Hours

The anticipated work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern Time. Work hours may be adjusted from time to time based on operational requirements, customer needs, staffing levels, and business demands.
