Housekeeping Supervisor – Hickory Treatment Centers

Department: Housekeeping

Direct Report To: Executive Director


About the Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is the primary sanitary member of the administrative team, assuring cleanliness in all public areas and patient rooms.

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Plant Operations, CEO, and Corporate Maintenance Director, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a clean environment and overseeing all facility housekeeping staff.

Job Qualifications
  • High School diploma preferred,
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience or training
  • Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check, satisfactory personal & professional references
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, and Publisher
  • Ability to read & write, & comprehend the English language- Simple instructions, short correspondence, & memos
  • Positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with patients
  • Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, provide patient-driven customer service, and exercise time management skills.
  • Dependability, punctuality, accuracy, attention to detail, & thoroughness are all essential to this role.
  • Schedule flexibility, holiday, and weekend rotation is REQUIRED.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.


Key Responsibilities

Environmental Cleaning & Sanitation

  • Follow procedures for cleaning terminal rooms and occupied rooms
  • Adhere to facility cleaning schedule and special cleaning project schedule
  • Follow procedures for cleaning toilets, bathing facilities, meeting rooms, and common areas.
  • Empty waste containers and transport trash from building to the dumpster
  • Replenish paper towels and toilet paper
  • Lauder linens daily and maintain an ample supply of clean linens for client use
  • Clean housekeeping carts and equipment after each use.
  • Keep linen, janitor, and supply closets clean and orderly

Chemical Handling, Waste Management, and Safety

  • Follow procedures for hazardous waste cleanup and disposal
  • Safeguard chemicals from clients while in use and during storage
  • Ensure chemicals are properly labeled and stored in assigned dispensers and containers
  • Know the location of all Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Operate all equipment safely and report safety hazards to the Executive Director

Inventory & Supply Management

  • Requisition supplies to avoid running out
  • Maintain proper equipment maintenance, inspections, and linen inventories in collaboration with the maintenance director

Infection Control & Compliance

  • Respect HIPAA confidentiality when cleaning offices and areas containing client information.
  • Perform appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
  • Participate in performance improvement activities

Department Leadership and Oversight

  • Oversee the housekeeping department
  • Set housekeeping schedules that meet facility needs.


Compensation

$16.00-$18.00 hourly
