Job description

Leadpoint Business Services is currently seeking a Yard Dog Driver to perform a variety of trailer movement tasks within our recycling facility in Charlotte, NC. The primary responsibility of the Yard Dog Driver is to safely and efficiently move trailers and containers throughout the yard to support production and shipping operations. You’ll work closely with the On-Site Manager and operations team to ensure smooth workflow and maintain a safe yard environment. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement. We’re looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals with strong attention to detail and experience operating yard trucks or similar equipment. Benefits of the Yard Dog Driver Pay rate $20.00/hour, plus Benefits Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–4:00pm, with occasional Saturdays as needed Health, dental, vision benefits & more after 60 days of employment Company-provided PPE including safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, protective gloves and arm shields. An employee lunchroom with a refrigerator and microwave for your use. Weekly pay & accrued time off Responsibilities of the Yard Dog Driver Trailer spotting and yard organization Move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and processing areas Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipment Ensure trailers are properly secured and positioned for loading/unloading Maintain clear communication with supervisors and warehouse staff Monitor yard conditions and report safety concerns immediately Complete required logs and documentation accurately Follow all company safety policies and procedures Requirements of the Yard Dog Driver High School Diploma or GED preferred Valid Driver’s License (CDL may be required depending on facility needs) Previous yard dog, terminal tractor, or commercial driving experience preferred Strong focus on safety and situational awareness Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment If you can follow instructions and enjoy working as part of a team, then please APPLY NOW to start your career with Leadpoint.
