Regional Manager - Equipment Maintenance & Repair (EMR) and Remote Container Management (RCM)

The Regional Manager of Equipment Maintenance and Repair & RCM is responsible for the maintenance, repair, preparation, and pre-tripping of Maersk Line equipment (Dry Containers, Refrigerated Containers, Generators and GPS Tracking devices) with the primary goal of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Maersk line assets & in accordance with department KPIs, cost directives, Maersk global repair criteria.

About the Role

We are looking for a Regional Manager - Equipment Maintenance & Repair (EMR) and Remote Container Management (RCM) to join our NAM Inland Operations team. In this role, you will lead Equipment Maintenance & Repair activities across your assigned region, ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of Maersk equipment, including dry containers, refrigerated containers, generators, and GPS tracking devices. You will serve as the regional technical expert, partnering with terminals, rail facilities, depots, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders while driving equipment availability, operational performance, and the successful deployment of Remote Container Management solutions across the U.S. and Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the regional technical expert and primary point of contact for all Equipment Maintenance & Repair (EMR) activities.
  • Manage relationships with repair vendors, depot operators, rail facilities, terminals, unions, and key stakeholders to ensure service quality and compliance.
  • Conduct equipment, facility, and vendor audits, validating repair quality and adherence to Maersk maintenance standards.
  • Lead Out of Service (OOS) reduction initiatives and drive compliance with Gate Inspection Program processes and damage assessment criteria.
  • Support the implementation, training, and operational rollout of Remote Container Management (RCM) technologies across the region.
  • Oversee procurement-related activities, vendor contracts, warranty programs, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Manage regional maintenance and repair costs, maintain P&L accountability, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Who We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in Equipment Maintenance & Repair, marine terminal operations, intermodal facilities, container yards, transportation operations, or a related environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of industry experience and professional training.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and drive performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage regional responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to obtain a TWIC card and other required terminal, rail, or depot credentials.
