Job description

Load and unload company trucks, common carriers and customer vehicles using forklift and other required equipment. Ship and receive products according to company's procedures and requirements

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:  

  • Mixing and repackaging product.
  • Fills pails, drums and totes.
  • Loads and unloads tank trucks/railcars.
  • Blends solvents and alcohols.
  • Prepares containers for filling.
  • Monitors and maintains tankfarm inventory levels.
  • Container preparation.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor.
  • Filling product orders and preparing special blends.
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse and equipment.
  • Assists with shipping and receiving.
  • Liquid transfer of bulk product.
  • Inventory movement or duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Physical ability to lift and carry at least 100 pounds.
  • Physical ability to tilt back or break 800 lb. net drums onto a dolly.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Test negative on the company's drug tests.
  • Exposure to fumes, dirt, noise and hazardous chemicals daily. May require safety equipment and/or precautions.
  • Work requires moderate physical exertion, visual concentration, manual dexterity and/or strain.
  • Exposure to some undesirable or unpleasant environmental characteristics. Physical environment is not unsafe and there is a minimal health risk
  • Work pressures and disturbances in workflow and schedules are expected and occur intermittently. The job is characterized by a moderate amount of interpersonal conflict, frustrating working conditions, sacrifice required and/or other stressful job demands.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 

  • Completion of a high-school diploma is required
  • Three (3) years' related warehouse experience.
  • Must have the ability to operate a propane counterbalance forklift according to company procedures.
  • Must have the ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment

Pay and benefits:
The starting base wage for this position is $26.85 per hour during probationary period and increases to $32.60 thereafter. The specific wage offered to a candidate is established by the classification within the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA) under which the position is covered.
