Job description

CDL Class A Drivers

We are hiring CDL Class A Drivers for local port drayage operations. This position is home daily, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work available. Drivers will be responsible for transporting containers between the Port of Houston and nearby warehouses within a 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport containers from the Port of Houston to customer facilities and back
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Ensure accurate completion of bills of lading and electronic logs
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding delays, equipment issues, or changes to routes
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers and port personnel

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • TWIC card (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
  • Experience with port drayage and chassis operation (preferred but not required)
  • Clean MVR (no violations in the last 3 years)
  • Must pass DOT drug screen and background check
  • Familiarity with ELD systems (Samsara)
