Job description

Colson Group-Export (previously Arbco Wheels), a global company in 15 different countries, is a leading supplier of surface protection and Casters and Wheels to retail stores across North America, Europe and Australia. We are dedicated to providing high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers while maintaining a strong presence in the competitive retail market. This position offers a four-day work week, M-Th, 10 hours per day.

1st Shift 6:00 am - 4:00 pm 2nd Shift, 4:00 pm - 2:00 am. 3rd Shift 8pm-6am

We are currently offering a Sign-on Bonus of $1,000, paid out as follows: 90 days=$250, 180 days=$250, 1 year=$500

Thermal Press Operator

Reports To: Plant Manager or Designee

Location: Export, PA

Job Summary: Thermal Press Operators produce a final product from raw materials, using precise weights and measurements.

Primary Responsibilities: Perform Safety Preflight checks, maintain work area using 5S practices, run 3-5 presses per press set, quality control, enter correct production quantities in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow production schedule
  • Meet standardized performance levels
  • Operate presses
  • Record production and scrap quantities in ERP database
  • Perform short-interval quality control checks as required
  • Visually inspect wheels for defects, segregating defects into proper containers
  • File raised mould lines as necessary
  • Separate moulded wheels by part number into proper containers
  • Perform safety and end of shift requirements following 5S practices
  • Abides by all established organizational policies, rules, and regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand or walk for 10 hours per shift (four shifts per week)
  • Lift up to thirty pounds
  • Basic reading and comprehension
  • Knowledge of Epicor preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

$2 per hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift
