Job description

Position Summary

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for transporting construction materials (dirt, gravel, asphalt, millings, and debris) to and from active job sites throughout Middle Tennessee. This role requires safe driving in high-traffic and job site environments, with frequent short-haul routes and multiple stops per day.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a dump truck on local routes throughout the Greater Nashville Area
  • Ability to operate 2030 yard tandem dumpster truck, along with mobile pod storage containers
  • Haul materials between quarries, asphalt plants, and construction job sites
  • Perform pretrip, posttrip, and daily vehicle inspections
  • Ensure proper loading, weight distribution, and secure dumping of materials
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and job site conditions
  • Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
    • Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class A or B (required)
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • Minimum 2 years of dump truck or construction hauling experience strongly preferred
  • Experience hauling from quarries and asphalt plants preferred
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting company insurance requirements
  • Knowledge of Middle Tennessee roads and traffic patterns (preferred)
  • Ability to operate manual transmission (if applicable)
  • Strong awareness of job site safety and heavy equipment operations
