Job Summary

Material Handler performs a variety of routine and standardized duties and is assigned to work in designated areas such as in the Depot Repair area, or the warehouse/production area including loading, unloading materials in shipping and receiving; packaging and crating finished goods; kitting parts to the Assembly floor or Depot Repair. The Material Handler is independently responsible for ensuring orders are kitted and parts are issued according to job specifications in an accurate and efficient manner. This position is responsible for accuracy of inventory (greater than 98%) and for ensuring quality of product being shipped.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments including U.S. mail.
  • Kit work orders accurately to designated departments and assigned to such as assembly floor, Depot Repair and ensure parts are issued to the job.
  • Verify quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products ready for shipment.
  • Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
  • Package products into containers, using spacers, fillers and protective padding.
  • Build pallets for proper shipping of material to customers to ensure no damage to product.
  • Maintain Main Stores, as assigned by Supervisor, part-by-part inventory accuracy greater than 98%.
  • Maintain inventory control of replacement parts (RP) inventory as required.
  • Process RMA, RGA, and DMF requisitions.
  • Cross train in all functions of material handling, shipping and repairs.
  • Operate lift truck and material handling equipment and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Understand, support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements.
  • Support company goals and objectives.
  • Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI's internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires 1-2 years of shipping & receiving experience.
  • HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of all Material Control operations and procedures associated with the stockroom, shipping and receiving.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP and ServiceMax is preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping policies with common carriers.
  • Skill in operating bar code scanner equipment and computer systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to certify as a licensed forklift operator.

Salary Range: $22-25/hour, DOE + annual potential bonus + comprehensive benefits package
