A Container Drayage Driver is a professional truck driver responsible for transporting shipping containers over short distances, typically between ports, rail yards, warehouses, and distribution centers. Their main job involves picking up loaded or empty containers from ports and delivering them to their next destination, often as part of a larger supply chain process. This role requires knowledge of port operations, container handling, and compliance with safety and transportation regulations. Container drayage drivers play a crucial role in ensuring the timely movement of goods from ships or trains to storage facilities or end customers.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a container drayage driver and how does the role interact with port operations?

You will coordinate closely with port personnel to ensure timely loading and unloading, comply with safety and security procedures, and manage documentation for each load.
