Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Inspector with a passion for quality and problem-solving! This role involves inspecting, testing, and ensuring product compliance with precise GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements. You'll utilize various inspection techniques and interact with customers and government inspectors. This position requires reading and interpreting drawings, verifying certifications, conducting tests, and maintaining accurate records.

About You: You’re a creative problem-solver who enjoys meeting high expectations of customers. You have exceptional computer skills and the ability to quickly learn different customer submission portals such as Exostar, P2P, and Net-Inspect. In addition, you’re able to navigate multiple software programs within our organization, but don’t worry - we will train you on those! Most importantly, you are excited about quality and growing professionally with a supportive company!

Key Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets standard drawings and specifications for inspection of parts,equipmentand fixtures.  
  • Verifies certification of processes and material on incoming products as required. Consults with Senior Inspectors and/or Quality Systems Manager on acceptance standards and conveyance of quality issues.
  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process and tests products for qualities such as dimensions,performanceand mechanical characteristics.  
  • Utilizes GDT for dimensional requirements.  
  • Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials,partsor products to measure performance,lifeor material characteristics.
  • Records test data and inspection records and meets with Source Inspectors as required. Evaluates data andwritesreports to accept or reject partsin accordance withCompany procedures and customer requirements.  
  • Identifiesreports or corrects problems with equipment, material or procedures and recommends modifications of existing procedures to achieveoptimumquality within limits of Company capability.
  • Completes paperwork andassignstasks quickly and accurately with minimal direction from Supervisor or Senior Inspector(s).
  • Very goodcomputer skills arerequired.
  • Ensures that all QMS (Quality Management Systems) procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diplomarequired. 
  • Two years of relevant work experiencerequired. 
  • AnAssociate Degreeis preferred but notrequired.
  • Strong organizational skills and knowledge of quality assurance procedures.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proficiencyin reading, interpreting documents, andwritingreports.
  • Mathematical aptitude for calculations.
  • Physical ability tolift upto 75 pounds and perform various tasks.
  • Experience with running and/or programming a Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) preferred.
