Introduction A Maximo Delivery Consultant within Expert Labs is an experienced practitioner responsible for delivering IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) and enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with solid functional understanding to implement, configure, and optimize Maximo solutions for clients. The consultant works under the guidance of senior functional/technical leaders , contributing to successful project delivery, supporting solution design, and building client relationships while developing deeper advisory and leadership capabilities. Your role and responsibilities Key Responsibilities Client Delivery * Deliver Maximo/MAS implementations, upgrades, and enhancements as part of project teams * Participate in workshops, requirements gathering, and solution discussions * Configure Maximo applications and support testing, deployment, and go-live activities * Ensure quality deliverables aligned with client requirements and project scope * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, functional, integration) Solution Implementation * Translate business requirements into Maximo configurations and functional designs * Support solution design and architecture under guidance from senior consultants * Assist with data migration, system integration, and testing activities * Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution during delivery Client Engagement * Build effective working relationships with client stakeholders * Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to project leadership * Support user training and adoption activities Practice Contribution * Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and knowledge sharing * Support pre-sales activities such as demos, estimations, and proposal inputs * Continuously build skills across Maximo and related technologies Technical Capabilities Maximo / EAM Knowledge * Working experience with IBM Maximo / MAS (7.6.x and/or MAS 9.x) * Hands-on configuration experience in: * Work Management * Asset & Location Management * Preventive Maintenance * Inventory and Procurement * Familiarity with workflows, escalations, domains, and security setup Integration & Technical Skills * Experience with: * Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) * REST/SOAP APIs (basic to intermediate level) * Exposure to integrations with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) * Basic understanding of middleware and integration patterns * Understanding of containerization, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices Cloud & Platform Exposure * Exposure to MAS deployment concepts on OpenShift or cloud platforms * Basic understanding of containers, environments, and deployment pipelines * Familiarity with system administration and environment management concepts Data & Reporting * Experience with: * Data loading/migration tools (e.g., MIF, scripts) * Reporting tools such as BIRT * Ability to validate and reconcile data during implementations Development & Customization * Basic to intermediate skills in: * Automation scripting (Jython, JavaScript) * Java (preferred but not always required) * Ability to implement minor customizations and troubleshoot issues Functional Capabilities Business Process Understanding * Solid understanding of EAM processes: * Work order management * Preventive maintenance * Inventory and procurement * Ability to align system configurations to business requirements Industry Knowledge * Exposure to asset-intensive industries such as: * Utilities * Manufacturing * Oil & Gas * Understanding of asset lifecycle concepts and maintenance practices Consulting Skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to gather and document requirements * Effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders User Enablement * Support user training sessions and documentation * Assist in driving user adoption and system usability improvements Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise * Experience in Maximo/EAM implementations. * Hands-on experience in Maximo configuration and delivery. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
