A Day in the Life (2nd Shift)

MondayFriday, 2:30 PM 10:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays. You arrive, review your MaintainX queue, and get right to work eliminating downtime risks. One hour youre diagnosing a photo-eye fault on a conveyor; the next youre swapping a drive motor on a filler, then wrapping up with preventive checks to ensure tomorrows run is smooth.

Compensation

$38.00 per hour plus a $0.35 shift differential.

What Youll Tackle
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production and packaging assets with minimal supervision.
  • Service and optimize fillers, conveyors, palletizers, bottling systems, and related packaging equipment.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting (120V 480V): sensors, relays, photo-eyes, and motor terminations.
  • Repair and maintain pumps, motors, and variable speed drives used across plant operations.
  • Install, modify, and repair conveyor systems (roller, belt, chain, Intralox).
  • Execute preventive maintenance and safety inspections to boost reliability and cut downtime.
  • Document work orders, parts, and repairs in our CMMS (MaintainX).
  • Assist with installs, moves, and upgrades using standard shop tools and fabrication equipment.
What Youll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years in industrial manufacturing maintenance (packaging/food & beverage/plastics or similar preferred).
  • 2+ years of electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.
  • 2+ years in fabrication and machining (mill, drill press).
  • Ability to read schematics and execute from work orders.
  • CMMS experience (MaintainX, Maximo, SAP PM, Fiix, or equivalent).
  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Exposure to VFD or PLC troubleshooting.
  • Background in chemical, CPG, or food-grade manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lift/push/pull 20 50 lbs (up to 1/3 of the time).
  • Frequently apply 10 25 lbs of force (1/3 to 2/3 of the time).
  • Regularly handle up to 10 lbs throughout the shift (2/3 or more of the time).
  • Comfort with climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and handling.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and hear alarms/equipment signals, with or without accommodation.
