ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Laborer at Popularis Construction, you’ll assist in various tasks across residential and commercial projects. You’ll support carpenters, tradespeople, and superintendents with physical labor, site cleanup, material handling, and basic construction tasks to ensure jobsites operate efficiently and safely.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn the construction trade, develop new skills, and grow within a company that values hard work, problem-solving, and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SITE SUPPORT & PRODUCTIVITY

  • Perform general labor tasks including demolition, material handling, and jobsite cleanup.

  • Assist carpenters and other trades with tasks as needed to keep projects moving efficiently.

  • Load, unload, and distribute building materials on-site.

  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas to prevent delays and accidents.

  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.

  • Support the Site Superintendent and Project Manager in daily project needs.

  • Assisting in mobilization for new projects.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times.

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the supervisor.

  • Help set up and break down safety barriers, signage, and temporary protections.

WHAT YOU BRING

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

  • 0-3 years of experience in construction or related labor work preferred but not required.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and follow directions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Dependability and punctuality.

  • The desire to perform all assigned tasks with intention, understanding that your position is heavily leaned on to keep other trades and team members moving efficiently
