E&K of Phoenix is looking for a carpenter with welding experience. This role combines traditional carpentry skills with metal fabrication and welding capabilities to support structural installations, equipment supports, and specialty construction components while maintaining union safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Construct, install, and repair building frameworks including walls, floors, ceilings, and structural supports
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
  • Perform layout, measurement, and cutting of wood, metal, and composite materialsWeld structural and non-structural metal components using appropriate welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or Stick as required)
  • Fabricate and install steel supports, brackets, and custom metal componentsInstall doors, windows, drywall, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry elements when required
  • Operate and maintain carpentry and welding tools and equipment safelyCollaborate with other trades and supervisors to ensure projects meet timelines and specifications
  • Follow  safety regulations, and OSHA guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commercial or industrial carpentry
  • Welding experience with common construction welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick)
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety practices
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding work
  • Welding certifications preferred but not always required depending on project
