Wage Range: $95,000 - $125,000

Position Overview

Chitina Diversified Services is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for federal construction projects in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

The Superintendent will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors and field personnel, maintain project schedules, ensure quality workmanship, and promote a safe, organized, and productive construction site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the on-site construction team.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Review project schedules and budgets and ensure field activities remain aligned with project requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor site safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain daily field reports, field orders, RFIs, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and required approvals.
  • Participate in production and project coordination meetings.
  • Identify and resolve field issues affecting schedule, safety, quality, or productivity.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction superintendent experience.
  • Government, DOD, DOE, FAA, or similar federal construction experience highly preferred.
  • NQA-1 experience preferred.
  • United States Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance required.
  • Knowledge of 10 CFR 851.
  • EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 30 experience/certification as required by contract.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Experience with construction scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
