Job description

Garco Construction Inc is seekingย  a detail-oriented and organized Project Administrator to support our growing portfolio of commercial, institutional, and large-scale construction projects. As a key member of the project team, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and the office team to ensure projects run smoothly.

Keyย Responsibilities:ย 

  • Exerciseย independentย judgmentย relatedย toย day-to-dayย administrationย ofย projectsย andย efficientlyย andย effectively manage multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Communicateย effectively,ย bothย verballyย andย inย writing,ย withย aย varietyย ofย individualsย andย groups,ย clients, subcontractors, individual employees, jobsite teams, and company executives
  • Prepare,ย finalize,ย andย maintainย projectย relatedย documentsย toย includeย butย not to beย limitedย to:ย Subcontracts,ย Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Submittals, Request for Information, Pay Applications, Meeting Minutes.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier documentation including insurance certificates, payroll records, and other project compliance records.
  • Understandย projectย schedule andย impact onย various trades.
  • Upload and manage project information within company systems.
  • Assistย withย assignedย elementsย ofย projectย closeout.
  • Assist in other areas where needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate'sย degreeย preferred
  • Minimumย of 3 years' relatedย experience in commercial construction preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, terminology, and processes.
  • Proficiencyย inย Word,ย Excel,ย andย Bluebeam
  • Experience with Spectrum and Procore Construction Software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Passย aย Pre-Employmentย Drugย Test

The salary range for this position is between $58,000 and $75,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interpersonal skills with a variety of individuals and groups, clients, subcontractors,ย individualย employees,ย jobsiteย teams,ย andย companyย executives.ย Theย qualifiedย candidateย willย alsoย have strong relationship building skills, effective communication, and the ability to organize and evaluate information and proactively find solutions.
