Job description

Construction Safety Manager

Location: St. George, UT

Duration: 5 Days (08/24 - 08/28)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $52.50/hr

Overtime: Paid After 40 Hours

Per Diem: $150/Day (7 days of per diem)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: 1200 - 2200 | M-F | 50hrs/week

Why This Opportunity?

Join a contractor supporting preliminary electrical conduit installation at an active logistics facility in St. George, UT. This short-term assignment offers the opportunity to oversee safety during early-phase electrical construction activities while ensuring compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, electrical safety requirements, and site-specific work practices within an operational facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safety professional with electrical construction knowledge who is available for an immediate short-duration assignment.

Required Qualifications

One of the following is required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety (or related field) with 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • CSP or CHST Certification with 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • OSHA 500/510 Certification with 7+ years of construction safety experience

Experience supporting electrical construction projects

Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

Electrical safety experience

Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring

Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and contractor safety management

Preferred Qualifications

Operational facility construction experience

Distribution center or logistics facility experience

NFPA 70E knowledge or certification

Experience supporting energized work planning

Amazon project experience

What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee daily safety activities for electrical conduit installation
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices
  • Support preliminary electrical construction and conduit installation activities
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
