The Role

As a Heavy Civil Project Manager at Willmeng, you are the driving force behind project success from preconstruction through closeout. You lead the team in developing budgets, schedules, and contracts, ensuring every phase aligns with client goals and Willmeng's standards of excellence. You hire and manage subcontractors, oversee quality and safety, and proactively resolve challenges as they arise-whether in the field or with agency officials. Acting as the central point of communication, you connect owners, designers, and field teams, fostering collaboration, informed decision-making, and a solutions-driven approach that delivers results for our clients and communities.

What you will accomplish

  • Leads project planning, scheduling, and workflow to keep teams aligned and projects on track.
  • Sets clear project objectives, policies, and performance standards in line with Willmeng's values.
  • Oversees subcontractor management, contract negotiations, and timely issuance of agreements.
  • Drives budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting for project success.
  • Coordinates and communicates with owners, designers, field teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
  • Manages change orders, contract revisions, and monthly owner billings with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Champions safety, quality, and compliance across all project activities.
  • Motivates, develops, and leads project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Represents Willmeng with professionalism, building strong client relationships and upholding our reputation in the industry.

What we would like you to have

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management preferred; 5-15 years of heavy civil experience or equivalent.
