Job description

R.E. Crawford is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. The Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations for construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience managing retail, restaurant, QSR, grocery and office projects and will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven history of success.

Responsibilities

  • Determine and address any risk areas to maintain the safety of workers.
  • Create a safe work site by implementing company and OSHA regulations.
  • Communicate project milestones with owners and R.E. Crawford executive team and run weekly project coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily operation of construction projects.
  • Promote, foster, and maintain open communication among all team members.
  • Collaborate with superintendents for on-site management and daily operations.
  • Manage all aspects of the projects from concept to completion, including subcontracting, purchasing and construction.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive construction timeline to ensure project milestones are met and overall project objectives are achieved on schedule.
  • Manage subcontractors and construction site organization.
  • Ability to award construction projects with bid packages and scopes of work.
  • Review change orders and invoices associated with the projects.
  • Administer punch list and project close-out activities.
  • Ability to travel throughout the U.S. to projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED: 5 years of experience in general commercial construction (ground-up, renovations, remodels, buildouts, tenant improvement).
  • REQUIRED: Ability to build and update Microsoft Project Schedule.
  • REQUIRED: Ability to interpret plans and specifications.
  • Strong project management, communications skills with solid organizational and analytical judgment.
  • Initiative-taker required, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with regulatory construction standards.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Projects MS Office
