Roanoke, VA | Full-Time Contract

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support federal construction and renovation projects. In this role, you will oversee projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on scope, on schedule, and within budget.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering exposure to federal infrastructure projects and the ability to support critical government operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction and renovation projects from planning through occupancy
  • Develop scopes of work, budgets, and project schedules
  • Track milestones, timelines, and project performance
  • Review designs, construction progress, and contractor deliverables
  • Support procurement activities alongside contracting teams
  • Monitor project costs, invoices, and overall financial performance
  • Perform on-site inspections and oversee construction activities
  • Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and conflicts
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and government stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Travel may be required
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 5–10+ years of experience managing construction or design projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and scopes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to travel

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting federal or government construction projects
  • Familiarity with cost estimating and project planning tools
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Security Clearance Requirement
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (Secret / Top Secret / Public Trust)
  • Employment is contingent upon successful background investigation and PIV card issuance
