What You'll Do
As a National Project Director, you will work closely with multiple teams to ensure the successful coordination and execution of projects across various regions. You'll help drive business relationships, manage project scopes, and ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and up to Cotton's high standards. Here's a snapshot of your responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with adjusters, property owners, facility managers, and other key clientele to generate commercial opportunities.
  • Prepare scopes of work, estimates, contracts, and initiate project operations, ensuring proper file management, client communication, and timely collection of invoiced amounts.
  • Partner with the Regional Marketing Director and Regional Operations Manager to align efforts and create regional synergies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to confirm projects are executed as planned and maintain the highest quality of service.
  • Follow company policies, protocols, accounting procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Draft accurate estimates in accordance with company guidelines and secure signed contracts prior to project start.
  • Identify and execute necessary steps to launch production while project management and additional resources are mobilized.
  • Exercise sound judgment in determining when to go beyond standard protocol to resolve issues or secure potential work.
  • Complete and document Change Orders while ensuring project managers are informed of all updates.
  • Develop solutions tailored to meet the needs of both the client and the adjuster.
  • Successfully securing projects in competitive bidding situations.
  • Managing conflict resolution with customers and adjusters to maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the performance and productivity of field staff.
  • Overseeing changes in project scope, ensuring timely submission of invoices, and driving prompt collection of payments.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Must Proficiency in Xactimate and project management software.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of construction project management and project estimating.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships and communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Other Requirements: Good driving record and the ability to TRAVEL domestically and internationally as needed.
