Senior Construction Manager - Electrical
Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Compensation: 100-140K base salary depending on experience plus health, dental, vision, 401k benefits.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager - Electrical to provide construction oversight, technical guidance, and project execution support on large-scale federal construction programs in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
This position serves as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert, supporting project teams through construction execution, issue resolution, quality oversight, and coordination across multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring construction progress, evaluating technical challenges, and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a strong electrical engineering background and a proven track record supporting complex industrial, energy, nuclear, or mission-critical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor construction activities to evaluate progress, quality, safety, and overall project performance
Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise related to electrical systems and construction execution
Review construction plans, schedules, and work packages to ensure readiness for upcoming activities
Support project teams in identifying, evaluating, and resolving construction issues
Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction, and operations personnel to ensure successful project execution
Evaluate corrective actions and mitigation strategies related to construction challenges
Participate in project reviews, technical assessments, and planning activities
Support development of construction status reports and project performance updates
Facilitate communication and coordination among contractors, project teams, and stakeholders
Assist with oversight of construction quality, field execution, and interface management activities
Support transition and turnover activities associated with completed construction work
Represent project leadership during meetings, briefings, and technical discussions as needed

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred not required
10+ years of experience supporting large-scale construction projects valued at $10 million or greater
Experience in construction oversight, field engineering, project execution, or owner's representative roles
Strong understanding of construction practices, project controls, and quality requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prepare professional technical reports, assessments, and project documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting federal construction programs
Experience within nuclear, energy, industrial, or highly regulated environments
Startup, testing, and operational readiness experience
Construction quality assurance or quality control experience
Project management or owner's representative experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
