As part of the rapidly growing IQ Fiber team, your contributions will directly affect our success. Your work matters here.

You'll find a team who works hard and has fun. And, if you're like us, you'll know you made a Smarter career choice.
Position Summary:
IQ Fiber is seeking an MDU Coordinator responsible for building engineered solutions to serve Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU) and public projects. This role owns the full project lifecycle from initial design through completed network delivery, working closely with the sales team to present solutions, secure Right of Entry (ROE), and deploy IQ Fiber's network.
This is a hands-on field role requiring strong technical knowledge of OSP and MDU solutions, the ability to communicate complex designs to non-technical audiences, and the drive to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual deployment targets. Success in this role depends on building strong contractor relationships, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering certified networks on time and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own MDU construction projects from start to finish, coordinating scheduling with property management, facilitating unit access, tracking materials, controlling costs, and meeting project deadlines.
  • Deliver certified networks to end users on time and within budget; document all as-builts into Vetro and upload all optical levels to SharePoint.
  • Partner with the sales team to identify customer needs, develop appropriate technical solutions, and support sales activities including site visits, negotiations, and presentations.
  • Present technical solutions with clarity and skill, translating complex designs into proposals that are understandable to non-technical prospects and teammates.
  • Support the technical design and execution of new planned community initiatives, ensuring customer experience and implementation budget requirements are met.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks; deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual homes-passed targets.
  • Manage contractor relationships and oversee construction quality, ensuring workmanship meets company standards throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle in a clean and professional manner and represent IQ Fiber in approved field attire at all times.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications construction experience; 5+ years of experience in OSP engineering and MDU solutions preferred.
  • Experience with walk-out surveys, design, budgeting, and creating BOMs including XGSPON; experience managing contractor relationships and coordinating multi-site construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; computer skills sufficient to learn new applications and systems, including Vetro.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record; ability to drive during nighttime and adverse weather conditions.
  • Must pass a standard background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to construct small networks for MDU and public spaces using off-the-shelf solutions and present technical solutions clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operation including mandatory overtime, after-hours and weekend work, and emergency response.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds repeatedly, climb ladders up to 28 feet, and work in adverse weather conditions.

What Success Looks Like
  • MDU projects are owned from design through completion, with solutions delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer and company expectations.
  • Sales, engineering, and construction teams are closely supported, with solution development and ROE efforts coordinated effectively to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Technical solutions are developed and presented effectively, with complex designs translated into clear, customer-friendly proposals that support the sales process.
  • Contractor relationships and project execution are actively managed, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to standards, and successful delivery of network installations.
  • Project documentation and performance tracking are accurate and current, including as-builts, reporting, and measurable progress toward monthly, quarterly, and annual deployment targets.
