This position is for a Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from preconstruction to project completion. The PM will organize and oversee all construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The main focus of the projects of this role will be in CapEX, Multifamily New Construction (renovation and ground up) sector.
An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures with the ability to coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind, a firm understanding of critical path methodology, great organizational skills, and be solution oriented.
The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to contractual schedule requirements and without exceeding the set budget while maintaining exceptional quality and customer service standards.
Responsibilities for Construction Project Manager:
  • Determine and define scope(s) of work and deliverables
  • Predict resources needed to complete project
  • Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites
  • Draft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Manage costs to meet budget
  • Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts
  • Generate and manage construction schedule and activities
  • Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
  • Ensure work is done in compliance with quality standards and all relevant building and safety codes
  • Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Accurately estimate costs of new project demands and changes.
Qualifications for Construction Project Manager
  • Humble, Hungry, and People Smart
  • Bachelor's degree or in the process of obtaining degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equal with relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a project management within the construction industry
  • Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Ability to estimate, budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
  • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Preferred Experience with Sage 100, Procore, & Microsoft Office including MS-Projects
  • Spanish Speaking is a bonus!
