Job description

Uprite Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to support our growing Self Storage construction portfolio throughout Southern California. This individual will play a key role in leading field operations from project startup through final completion while maintaining strong relationships with clients, trade partners, inspectors, and internal teams.

This role is based out of our Irvine headquarters and will oversee projects across the Southern California region.

What You'll Do:

Lead onsite construction activities for ground up and tenant improvement Self Storage projects
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and daily field operations
Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve field related issues or delays
Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
Conduct daily site walks and enforce jobsite safety requirements and company policies
Coordinate with Project Managers regarding schedule updates, procurement, RFIs, inspections, and project milestones
Manage site logistics, sequencing, manpower coordination, and subcontractor performance
Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local building codes and project requirements
Support project closeout activities including punch lists, inspections, turnover documentation, and final completion

What You'll Bring:

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction
Experience managing Self Storage, industrial, tilt up, multi story storage, or similar commercial projects
Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations
Experience managing multiple subcontractors and fast paced project schedules
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and construction management technology
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project execution
Ability to travel to project sites throughout Southern California as needed
OSHA 30 certification preferred
