Job Description
ATANE Consulting is actively seeking a Construction Inspector with over 5 years of experience for a NJTA project in New Jersey. This individual should have strong bridge and highway construction inspection experience with local agencies in NJ, such as NJDOT, NJTA, NJ Transit, NYNJPA and/or DRPA.
Responsibilities:
  • Construction Inspection and Supervision of Bridge/Highway/Infra Contractors according to the Contract Documents and State Specifications.
  • Supervising construction progress and scheduling.
  • Document all field work in writing, measuring all quantities and taking progress photos and videos.
  • Assisting the project Resident Engineer with project administration.
  • Perform daily construction inspection of work activities.
  • Utilize field testing equipment to test materials and take samples.
  • Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.
  • Reviewing design and bidding documents.
  • Review plans, shop drawings, field measurements, daily quantities and construction safety.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of related experience in similar project environments or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • NICET II/III/IV.
  • Knowledge and experience in performing construction inspection activities on highway bridge-related projects, construction site safety standards and agency procedures.
  • TCC, NJSAT, OSHA, ACI Grade I, ACI-CCTC, NACE, SSPC Certs are highly desirable.
