Job description

Partner Solutions Architect, Render Networks
Render's singular focus is best summarised by our purpose; continuously innovate and evolve technology to build networks better and connect communities
Render's geospatial network construction platform enables telecommunication network operators and construction teams to digitize the construction workflow and cut the time and cost of large-scale fiber deployment.
With greater than $60B in annual US network infrastructure investment forecast to continue for the next decade, the need for technology-enabled efficiency and construction innovation is acute.
Render's market-leading platform is experiencing rapid adoption, and in partnership with new majority partners IFM Investors, Render is perfectly positioned to build on existing momentum and realize significant incremental growth.
Our partnership with IFM Investors further empowers us to fast-track Render's next wave of product innovation for our customers and the evolving global telecommunications industry, and we are looking for exceptional talent to join us on the journey.
Our team all have a genuine passion for innovation and technology's role in enabling global communities to thrive. Beyond our work, our values shape everything that we do at Render and we can not overstate how central these statements are to our culture:
  • Lead Boldly with Courageous Innovation
  • Integrity and Accountability
  • Put Customers at the Center

The role you will play
The Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) is a hands-on, highly technical advisor who drives scale and accelerates customer outcomes through partner-delivered best practices and integration solutions leveraging the Render platform and APIs.
Working closely with our partners' technical stakeholders, engineers, developers, along with internal teams at Render, you will identify industry technical trends, develop integration strategies with partners, and build prototypes to facilitate the delivery of innovative solutions and services with our partners.
Reporting to the VP of Product & Partnerships, you will work hand-in-hand with technology partners and joint customers around the world, and will be responsible for educating them on our joint "better-together" product integration solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of system integration technologies, the ability to develop solution prototypes, and a collaborative approach with partner and internal development teams to engage and positively influence key technology and architecture decisions.
Your mission @ Render:
  • Work directly with partners to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best-practice integration architectures in line with long-term business needs
  • Drive technical solutions discussions with partners and joint customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical challenges and using your knowledge of Render's technology and APIs to craft repeatable, scalable, flexible, and resilient integration architectures
  • Stand up and demonstrate joint solution prototypes with partners in Render and/or partner environments
  • Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful partner engagements validating POCs, SOWs, new solutions and architecture designs
  • Share the voice of partners and customers to influence the product roadmap of new features and services for the Render platform. Proactively work within the organization to influence the evolution of the platform.
  • Serve as a key technical member of the Render solutions architecture team by influencing decision makers across multiple domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the Render platform which align to long-term business goals
  • Act as a thought leader in the wider Render technology community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops

Who you are:
  • Technical bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years experience within specific technology domain areas e.g. software development, API/middleware integration, cloud computing, or systems engineering
  • Experience working with or for system integrators and technology vendors leveraging APIs and middleware solutions to integrate applications
  • Experience with programming languages including Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, etc.
  • Understanding of spatial data concepts and experience with geospatial technologies such as GIS, CAD, remote sensing, or surveying
  • Track record of delivering proofs of concept, demonstrations, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components, and articulating the architectural patterns and design principles behind the development
  • Experience architecting, migrating, or transforming customer requirements to develop solutions
  • Presentation and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
  • High ability to travel, including travel to partner sites and attendance at business reviews and meetings
  • Familiarity and previous work experience in the telecommunications, utilities, construction, or GIS domains a plus

$120,000 - $140,000 a year

  • Technology investment: We work with leading technology platforms and enablement tools to support your success
  • Wellbeing focus: All people perform better when they're firing on all cylinders; health and wellness benefits are essential. Render supports all employees' wellbeing via our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and we encourage people to be themselves by creating an inclusive workplace
  • Employee Benefits: We offer one additional day per year as Floating Leave and competitive paid parental leave with 12 weeks of paid leave for Primary Caregivers and two weeks of paid leave for Secondary Caregivers. As a US-based employee you are eligible to partake in our health insurance plan with United Healthcare.

Our open, transparent, and inclusive team culture provides a license for every individual to turn ideas into impact. We look for many different skills and abilities, as well as how you can enhance Render and our culture. So, even if you don't think you quite meet all of the skills listed or tick all the boxes, we'd still love to hear from you!
