Job description

Job Title: Construction Foreman

Location: Lawrenceville, GA; Cartersville, GA; Holly Springs, GA; Carrollton, GA

Reports To: Construction Supervisor

Date: March 06, 2024

Purpose

The Construction Foreman is responsible for being the lead man on the crew in the field. He is responsible for all aspects of crew production, equipment management, and decision making on the jobsite.

Scope & Responsibilities
  • Able to install pipe and instruct the crew on activities regarding pipe installation
  • Responsible for completing required paperwork on a daily basis, including but not limited to: daily timesheets and production reports, as-builts/service cards, Job Site Assessment (JSA)
  • Provide training for fellow crew members and lead the morale and attitude of the crew
  • Oversee safety procedures and quality of work
  • Proactively anticipate and solve problems that could delay construction
Requirements
  • Understand underground utility construction
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests
  • Must possess and maintain OSHA-10 Certification
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of the work involved and the ability to resolve problems with appropriate decision making
  • Must be able to maintain a work schedule and be dependable
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds and stand for four (4) hour periods of time
  • Must be able to perform strenuous labor under poor or less than ideal field conditions
  • Must be able to quickly move arms and legs and abdominal and lower back muscles
Preferred
  • Three (3) years of field experience as a foreman
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clean MVR
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
