To thrive as a Construction Engineering Inspector, you need a solid understanding of construction materials, methods, codes, and safety regulations, usually supported by an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management. Familiarity with inspection tools, surveying equipment, and software like AutoCAD or GIS, as well as certifications such as ICC or NICET, are commonly required.
