Teya Support Services LLC is seeking a Construction Project Engineer in Lakehurst, NJ, for project management support on federal design-build and design-bid-build construction projects.
The Construction Project Engineer will assist the Program Manager, Project Manager, and Site Superintendent, and/or the Quality Control Manager with day-to-day management of project documentation, scheduling, submittals, RFIs, procurement safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, turnover, client interface, field-based activities, and other duties required to execute projects, construction management, and program management ventures. This position will work on a diverse array of federal design-build and design-bid-build construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
โ€ข Supporting the PM, QCM, and Superintendent with day-to-day project management
โ€ข Collaborate with Superintendents and Site Managers to verify compliance of subcontractor's client contractors contract documents, safety & health requirements, quality, and schedule.
โ€ข Reviewing plans, specifications, and contract requirements
โ€ข Execute downstream contract administration, including Request for Information (RFI's), submittals, meeting minutes, change management, and claims mitigation.
โ€ข Support project cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structures, project set-up and closeout, and field progress tracking processes.
โ€ข Prepare information for and report project status, risks, schedule, costs, and cash flows at project and corporate level meetings to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and distribute meeting minutes as needed.
โ€ข Assisting with subcontractor and vendor coordination
โ€ข Tracking project schedules and procurement
โ€ข Assisting with change orders and cost tracking
โ€ข Preparing meeting minutes and project documentation
โ€ข Tracking project progress and quantities
โ€ข Assisting with pay applications and monthly reporting
โ€ข Supporting quality control and safety efforts
โ€ข Maintaining project records
โ€ข Facilitate the project turnover documentation, recordkeeping/retention, warranty and project close out processes
โ€ข Performing site visits and documenting progress
โ€ข Learning and using construction management/project control system
โ€ข Collaborate with the Project Management team to build client relationships while interfacing with the client for proposal and project related items.
โ€ข Coordinate and assist in the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Safety & Health Plan, Subcontracting Plan, Project Staffing Plan, Organization Chart, and Procurement Plan.
โ€ข Contribute to the negotiation, approval and execution of multiple types of prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
โ€ข Support development of and coordinate the potential bidders' registration and pre-qualification efforts on behalf of the Project team.
โ€ข Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP), support detailed scope of work development, bid and selection process, creation of contract documents for the purpose of subcontractor and client contractor selection and award.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering; OR 10 years in related work.
โ€ข Minimum of 1 or more years of full time construction experience.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
โ€ข OSHA 30 preferred, but not mandatory.
โ€ข Knowledge of general construction practices, including renovations, new construction, site development, and excavation.
โ€ข Ability to obtain and maintain DISCO Secret Clearance or higher levels, if required, and be able to obtain access to military installations.
โ€ข Strong relationship building skills with clients, employees, managers, and project partners.
โ€ข Familiarity with Microsoft Suite of products.
โ€ข Valid Driver's License.
โ€ข Experience with inspections, documentation and reporting.
