POSITION DETAILS

Delivery Driver

The Delivery Driver directly reports to the Logistics/Purchasing Manager. Most of this job is spent driving to different jobsites, picking up and delivering materials, or at the warehouse organizing materials for the next day. The successful candidate will be driving a 24’ Box Truck and utilizing an electric pallet jack for loading and unloading products for delivery. The operation of a forklift will also be required from time to time. MUST have a clean driving record and be able to pass ALL Background and Drug Screening checks. Knowledge of construction materials and tools is preferred but not mandatory. Must be a quick learner, however.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Picking up and delivering materials to job sites from various vendors
  • Picking up leftover materials from job sites to return to vendors
  • Assist in keeping job sites clean by keeping materials and supplies organized
  • Assemble various kits for each job such as plumbing, electrical, safety kits etc.
  • Assist Logistics Manager with warehouse inventory.
  • Collaborate with Field Team to ensure all materials are available for the next workdays tasks.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pull and back up a trailer. (We have company pickup and trailer)
  • Must be able to lift at least 80 lbs.(Regular Materials Include: mortar mix, concrete mix, drywall, lumber, plywood, tile)
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work from lists.
  • Must be a morning person. Hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must have a smart phone and know how to use it.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work with accuracy.
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate with clarity and precision.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt as plans change throughout the workday. Improvise, adapt, overcome.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and understand fractions.
  • Forklift experience recommended, but training and certification will be provided.
