Job description

RQ Construction is looking for a Construction Project Manager (PM) to join our Field Operations team for work in Norfolk, Virginia (on an active military base). PM's are responsible for leading all aspects and phases of a project from conceptual design to final completion in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Local candidates will be considered, though relocation or travel to provide on-site project management is required for the PM position. This military base requires that all employees be U.S. Citizens.

Founded in 1996, RQC, LLC is a full-service Design-Build firm headquartered in Carlsbad, California, specializing in accelerated, ground-up commercial construction with a primary emphasis on Department of Defense work. We deliver projects from $30 million to over $300 million across the United States and U.S. territories, including California, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay. Our continued success is built on six core values: Safety, Ethics, Innovation, People, Teamwork, and Discipline - To provide our customers the best built environment while being the first choice of all stakeholders.

Our services span construction management, architectural design, trade services, virtual design and construction (VDC), and sustainable/LEED-focused solutions, executed nationwide through dedicated field teams assigned to each jobsite.
 

Pay: $110,000 - 170,000 per year

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A BA/BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience or equivalent in commercial project management required.
  • Six (6) or more years or equivalent work experience as a Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager (or equivalent) in the construction industry required. Work experience in the design-build industry desired.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office - esp. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required. Training can be provided. STS certification preferred.
  • LEED GA Credential or AP/AP+ preferred.
