Job description

Console is building the AI agents that power autonomous enterprises. We use AI to autonomously resolve IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Security, and Ops tasks the moment they come in from Slack or Teams. We're building toward a future where enterprise operations are fully autonomous; with no tickets, approvals, or manual processes slowing companies down.
Our platform enables companies like Databricks, Figma, and Cursor to delegate entire categories of work to AI agents that understands their org, takes action across systems, and gets smarter over time. We've raised $29M, backed by Thrive Capital (investors in OpenAI, Stripe, GitHub) and a small group of founders who have built category-defining companies.
We're unusually selective about the people we work with. We hire builders who span functions, optimize for speed, and care deeply about their craft. We do not care about pedigree. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Join us.
About the role
As a Platform Engineer at Console, you'll build the systems that make our engineering team faster and our product safer to change. You'll own the build tooling, CI/CD, verification environments, release systems, and reusable product primitives that let us ship quickly without losing quality as the company scales.
This role starts with traditional platform engineering: faster builds, better local development, safer deploys, stronger test infrastructure, and cleaner shared architecture. It extends into the systems we use to ship, verify, and release changes in a product we intend to operate increasingly autonomously, including customer bug triage, validation, and resolution loops.
You'll have room to operate autonomously, work closely with the CTO and engineering team, and shape how a modern AI-native engineering organization should build software. The best people in this role care deeply about developer experience, release quality, product architecture, and the compounding leverage that comes from making every engineer faster.
What You'll Do
  • Own the internal platform, build tooling, and CI/CD workflows that move code from idea to production
  • Make builds faster, tests more reliable, deployments safer, and releases easier to understand and operate
  • Design and operate verification environments that validate product behavior across agents, integrations, workflows, and customer-like scenarios before changes reach production
  • Build AI-native tooling for automated development, bug triage, validation, release management, and operational feedback loops
  • Create the systems that help Console detect issues, reason about changes, verify fixes, and eventually automate more of the path from customer bug report to production resolution
  • Build reusable product primitives and architecture patterns that help teams ship new agent capabilities, integrations, and context-aware workflows without reinventing core systems
  • Improve the day-to-day developer experience across local development, CI, testing, review, deployment, and debugging
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to identify repeated friction, turn it into platform leverage, and raise the quality bar across the codebase

Who You Are
  • 5+ years of full-time experience in backend, platform, product infrastructure, or developer tooling engineering
  • You have strong engineering fundamentals and are comfortable working across a modern TypeScript/Node/React codebase
  • You have built internal platforms, build systems, CI/CD workflows, developer tools, product infrastructure, or shared architecture that other engineers depend on
  • You are AI-native: you actively use AI tools, understand how they change software development, and have strong instincts for where they can compress engineering cycles
  • You have strong product taste for developer experience and care about building tools that engineers actually want to use
  • You can turn repeated engineering friction into reusable abstractions, better workflows, stronger verification, and durable platform primitives
  • You move fast, sweat the details, and care deeply about reliability and quality where it matters
Why join Console?
  • Product-market fit: We have built the leading product in our category, in a massive market. We've hit an inflection point and are on track to build a generational company.
  • World-class team: We seek high agency contributors who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, ruthlessly prioritize what matters and are action-biased.
  • Grow with us: We reward impact, not credentials or years of experience. We intend to grow talent from within as we scale up.
  • Competitive pay and benefits: top compensation with full benefits including:
    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
    • Unlimited PTO
    • 401(k)
    • Equity
    • Meals provided daily in office
