Conservation Specialist

Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the W.C. Bradley Co. Farm in Stewart County Georgia. Duties and Responsibilities Guest Care โ€ข Provide check in and check out assistance to guests of the Lodge and Farm. โ€ข Provide transportation when needed between the Lodge and other locations, including transportation to and from airport, Columbus, and various recreational and shopping locations. โ€ข Provide assistance to the Hunting Guides as required. โ€ข Provide assistance to Lodge Keeper as required. โ€ข Clean games harvested by guest. Farm Support and Maintenance โ€ข Drive and maintain tractors โ€ข Maintain landscaping: mowing lawns, raking leaves, pickup limbs, trimming hedges, etc โ€ข Cut and stack firewood. โ€ข Cut and bale hay. โ€ข Wash down kennels, trucks, hunting buggy, etc. โ€ข Work with bird dogs as required. โ€ข Work with horses as required. โ€ข Make repairs on buildings and facilities (paint) Boathouse and Boat Maintenance and Upkeep โ€ข Maintain boathouse in clean, safe, and organized manner. โ€ข Provide basic maintenance for boathouse โ€ข Perform basic maintenance on boat(s) including checking and maintaining appropriate oil and lubricant levels, keep boats gassed, and clean boat(s) after use. โ€ข Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED, or equivalent experience, required. Two years of tech school preferred. Minimum Work Experience: Two-three years experience working in forest/farm/recreational operations and multi-natural resource required. License(s)/Certification(s): None. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities โ€ข Ability to operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment. โ€ข Availability to work 60 hours a week (average) during summer/early fall in preparation of upcoming seasons. โ€ข Must be able to legally posses and safely use a firearm/hunting rifle/knife. โ€ข Ability to communicate orally and in writing. โ€ข Customer Service โ€“ ability and desire to serve all recreational users by creating high-quality experiences for each user resulting in repeat and total increase in visitor usage on the property.
