Work Environment

This role offers a remote work setting, designed to provide flexibility while maintaining a high standard of care. Despite being primarily remote, therapists will engage directly with patients through virtual appointments, workshops, and collaboration with medical teams. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and screenings of patients' mental health to tailor personalized treatment plans that meet their unique needs.
• Provide effective short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to patients addressing issues such as grief, anxiety, and depression.
• Facilitate virtual therapy groups and workshops to engage patients in topics related to coping skills, mental well-being, and personal development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the hospice center, coordinating care with medical professionals and support staff to ensure holistic treatment for patients.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues, including community workshops and educational campaigns.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Conscious Mind Health Clinic will primarily work with individuals facing serious health challenges and their families within a hospice environment. Understanding the delicate emotional landscape of patients experiencing end-of-life issues is essential. Therapists will provide empathetic and supportive counseling that addresses the complexities of grief, loss, and mental health concerns intrinsic to this unique patient demographic.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is mandatory.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in dealing with the mental health challenges unique to patients in hospice settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships and facilitate effective collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Expert knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models suitable for a healthcare counseling environment.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing a diverse caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and digital therapy tools for remote counseling.
• Experience in leading support groups or workshops focused on mental health.

• Competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
