This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide telehealth services from any location. Our telehealth platform is user-friendly, ensuring seamless communication with clients. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including medical directors and support staff, using telecommunication tools to coordinate mental health treatment efficiently. Working remotely provides flexibility while still allowing for meaningful interactions with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and/or Medical Team Administrator to ensure cohesive mental health treatment plans that integrate both facility-based and external resources.
  • Provide in-service training on mental health topics to medical, psychiatric, and security staff, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health challenges.
  • Respond to and de-escalate mental health crises that may occur during client interactions.
  • Attend commitment hearings where necessary, serving as an advocate for client needs.
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans and individualized goals for each client, ensuring alignment with best practices in therapeutic care.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines.
  • Verify client mental health histories, including any medications previously prescribed, to inform ongoing care strategies.
  • Produce regular reports on client progress and outcomes, as well as special reports as requested.
  • Coordinate with nursing and mental health professionals to establish a robust support system for clients upon their release from service.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population is diverse, encompassing individuals with varying mental health conditions, including those experiencing trauma, substance misuse, and chronic emotional distress. As a counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with clients from different backgrounds, offering you a profound insight into the dynamics of mental health across various demographics. Your efforts will contribute positively to their recovery journey and quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in clinical counseling is required, demonstrating effective therapeutic skills.
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly preferred.
Preferred Experience

Experience with telehealth platforms and familiarity with virtual counseling techniques will enhance your capability to connect with clients effectively in a remote setting. Previous involvement in multi-disciplinary teams, particularly in crisis management or trauma-informed care, is also an added advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year, reflection of your experience and expertise. Additionally, you may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
