Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN | 12-hour shifts | Day or Night Shift



About Our Nexus Neurorecovery Center in Conroe:

Situated on a peaceful, wooded 26-acre campus, Nexus Neurorecovery Center โ€“ Conroe offers the Rise Program, a comprehensive neurological rehabilitation program for adults recovering from severe traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses.

This campus is also home to the Life Care Program, which provides long-term residential care for individuals who have sustained serious, life-altering injuries and require ongoing clinical and behavioral support.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinical leadership and advanced nursing care for adults recovering from neurological injuries and chronic conditions. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), the RN coordinates care plans, administers treatments, and provides patient and family education to promote recovery and long-term stability.

The RN plays a vital role in the interdisciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and case managers to deliver individualized, person-centered rehabilitation and residential care.



Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor clinical progress of patients recovering from neurological conditions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans aligned with each patientโ€™s goals and rehabilitation objectives.
  • Support patientsโ€™ independence and functional gains through therapeutic engagement and clinical guidance.
  • Utilize approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to ensure safety and maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Educate patients and families about medications, recovery processes, and self-care strategies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to LVNs and Patient Care Assistants to promote best practices in care delivery.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in EHR systems and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.


Licensue & Certifications

  • Current Texas RN license โ€“ required
  • CPR / BLS Certification โ€“ required
  • De-escalation Training โ€“ required within 30 days of hire
  • Experience in neurorehabilitation, long-term care, or behavioral health preferred
