Job description

Customer Connection Specialist
Ligonier seeks to help Christians grow in their knowledge of God and His holiness. If you are passionate about helping us do that, we have an exciting opportunity for you. As a Customer Connection Specialist, you serve the vital role of being the first line of service for constituents reaching out to us from around the world.
You may be the right person for this position if you possess the utmost professionalism and a commitment to quality of service. This person will thrive in an environment where creative problem-solving, active listening skills, and relationship-building are all part of his or her everyday activities. We know that actions speak louder than words, so if that mindset drives your career performance, you could be a great member of the team.
Responsibilities:
You offer excellent support through phone, email, online chat, and social media to new and existing constituents, who have questions or concerns regarding an order or a conference or who may just need someone to pray with them. You take opportunities to share the many outreaches of Ligonier Ministries and our Partnership Program and invite callers to become Ministry Partners. You are literally the voice of Ligonier, and a strong relationship with our constituents starts with you.
Requirements include:
  • Willingness to represent, support, and promote the mission of Ligonier and our Ministry Partner Program
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, process information, understand concerns, and overcome objections
  • The strong work ethic of a self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
  • A professional and friendly attitude, able to quickly and effectively develop rapport with constituents over the phone
  • Strong technological proficiency and ability to walk someone through basic technical questions
  • Experience in sales or fundraising is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is an advantage but not required
  • Full-time availability required
  • Agreement with Ligonier's General Statement of Faith
Benefits:
As a Ligonier employee, you will receive the following benefits:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement planning options after reaching eligibility
  • Education and training benefits
  • Employee discounts
This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, Florida. We are not a Christian counseling service. Supplying a cover letter is recommended.
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
