Job description

Job Description
  • First Shift Monday through Friday 7am -3:30PM.
  • Pay: $36 - $40 per hour
  • This position is also eligible for retention bonuses:
    • $500 after 90 days
    • $500 after 180 days

This position is responsible for supporting the plant's automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and other automated equipment. The person in this role will report to the Maintenance Manager and spend approximately 80% of their time focused on automation while assisting the maintenance team as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot PLC- and robotics-controlled equipment.
  • Connect laptop to equipment to identify faults.
  • Reload PLC and robotics programs when necessary.
  • Make basic edits and minor modifications to existing PLC and robotics programs.
  • Troubleshoot robotic faults and determine whether the issue is program related, requires a reset, or is a mechanical/electrical issue.
  • Work with the maintenance team on general maintenance when needed.

Must Have Skills:
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley is the primary PLC platform).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing PLC programs.
  • Experience with robotics troubleshooting.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Must obtain Amcor CEW status and maintain this status, must meet this requirement in 30 to 45 days

Preferred Experience:
  • Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Siemens PLCs.
  • RX Logix PLCs
  • Yaskawa robotics.
  • Automated material handling equipment.

Mechanical Experience Needed:
  • Hydraulics.
  • Pneumatics.
  • Bearings.
  • Conveyors.
  • General industrial maintenance.

Additional Information:
  • Candidates are required to provide their own basic set of hand tools.
