Job description

Job Title: Conformal Coating Technician / Programmer
Reports To: Production Manager
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Location - Anaheim, CA
Position Summary: Responsible for operating, setting up, and programming conformal coating equipment, including the PVA Delta 8. Program and adjust coating parameters to ensure consistent application and compliance with customer and quality requirements. Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, maintain coating quality, and support process improvements.
Responsibilities:
  1. Operate, set up, program, and troubleshoot the PVA Delta 8 conformal coating machine.
  2. Create, modify, and optimize coating programs and process parameters.
  3. Review drawings, work instructions, and specifications to determine coating requirements.
  4. Perform equipment setup, calibration, and routine maintenance.
  5. Develop adequate masking methods.
  6. Verify masking, fixturing, and board preparation prior to coating.
  7. Inspect coated assemblies for proper coverage and workmanship.
  8. Troubleshoot coating and equipment issues and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering and Quality.
  9. Maintain accurate process, inspection, and production documentation.
  10. Assist with developing work instructions and training production personnel.
  11. Support process improvements to improve quality, productivity, and reduce material waste.
  12. Follow applicable IPC standards, customer specifications, and company procedures.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education / Experience:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
  2. Minimum two (2) years of experience in electronics manufacturing or a related environment.
  3. Hands-on experience with PVA Delta 8 selective conformal coating equipment preferred.
  4. Experience with PVA PathMaster/PathMaster X programming preferred.
  5. Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
  6. Knowledge of conformal coating processes and applicable IPC standards preferred.
  7. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
