Configuration Management Specialistย 
Job Summary:ย 

ESAeroย isย seekingย a detail-oriented and highly organized Configuration Management Specialist to manageย the documentation, tracking, andย controlย of our technical and operational configurations. This role ensures that all engineering, systems, software, and hardware changes are properly documented, evaluated, andย maintained. The ideal candidate will work closely with Engineering, IT, QA, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure effective and compliant configuration management practices.ย 

Responsibilities and Duties:ย 

โ€ข Define and execute configuration management plans for engineering programs, ensuring alignment with company standardsย 
โ€ข Evaluate and route engineering change requests (ECRs), ensuring they are properly documented, reviewed, approved, and communicated across teamsย 
โ€ข Manage and lead configuration control meetings (CCB, TRB), including scheduling, agenda setting, and driving decisions to closureย 
โ€ข Assess risk and impact of proposed design changes and communicate findings to decision-makersย 
โ€ข Ensure data accuracy and traceability in all configuration documentation, including change requests and implementation checklistsย 
โ€ข Review technical documents for completeness and determine required corrective follow-upย 
โ€ข Maintain configuration data throughout the product lifecycle to ensure compliance with release standardsย 
โ€ข Prepare and validate configuration data required for major design gate reviews (PDR, CDR, FRR)ย 
โ€ข Model best practices in SolidWorks PDM and recommend workflow adjustments to improve efficiencyย 
โ€ข Develop and provide training to promote effective change management processesย 
โ€ข Identify and contribute to process improvements that enhance configuration accuracy and efficiencyย 

Required Qualificationsย and Skills:ย 

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fieldย 
โ€ข 2โ€“5 years of experience in configuration management or a similar roleย 
โ€ข Understanding of configuration management principles and product development processesย 
โ€ข Experience with PLM or PDM tools for configuration managementย 
โ€ข Strong analytical skills and high attention to detailย 
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendationsย 
โ€ข Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsย 
โ€ข Ability to build trust and work professionally across teamsย 
โ€ข U.S. Person required due to access to export-controlled dataย
