Job description

NDI Engineering Company is seeking a full-time Configuration Management Analyst Support person to join our team in Philadelphia and supporting the US Navy Engineering Test Site.
The candidate should have an understanding and/or have Navy inventory and supply support procedures and processes in an industrial environment (Navy experience a plus). The candidate should be proficient in reading and following procedures, exceptional configuration control track changes, and be organized and punctual in maintaining excel trackers and report documents.
The candidate will be proficient in working with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe.
A willingness to learn and collaborate in high-involvement work team environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • The employee shall be on-site during working hours with particular responsiveness during the core NSWCPD hours between 0900 and 1430. The contractor must communicate in advance (when possible) when they will not be able to provide on-site support.
  • Utilize tools and best practices to support configuration management at the test facility for hardware, software and change processes. In managing configuration data, utilize COTS tools to provide data maintenance and content management inputs to system specific or equipment based management tracking systems or databases (Example: Material History Reports).
  • The employee must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft software, specifically MS Excel and MS Access
  • Manage and maintain Configuration Management Document Database
  • Manage and maintain Document Index Tracker
  • Track various configuration management changes such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Test Site Work Orders (TSWOs), Temporary Standing Orders (TSOs), etc.
  • Attend management level meetings and track action times and record meeting minutes.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for meetings
  • Individual shall provide change management and product configuration management guidance.
  • Experience with MS Software's including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Interface with Engineers and Test Group on configuration changes to technical documentation and engineering configuration changes

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's level degree in Business, or related Military experience.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in configuration management. The Configuration Management Specialist shall be responsible for configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management. Individual shall also work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills along with ability to implement feedback from engineers, follow work instructions and work somewhat independently are highly desirable traits.
