Job description

Come join our team as our next Banquet House Person at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, located in the heart of the UT campus! Hook'em!

(This is a Full-Time role)

Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

Oversees the set up of tables, chairs and other banquet equipment in accordance with customer

contracts. 

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Setup meeting and event function with the equipment requirement from review the banquet event

order.

2. Become familiar with all meeting and event function room set up.

3. Learn how all handle equipment as well as utilized all assigned storage areas.

4. Assist as needed in the maintaining the physical clean up or breakdown and sanitation of all banquet areas.

5. Ensure equipment is maintained and properly stored in the assigned location.

6. Ensure event signage is accurate for the appropriate time of day. Complete knowledge of specific

signage locations around the conference center.

7. Attend department meetings as scheduled by the department manager.

8. Learn the different types and sizes of linen used for the specific tables.

9. Each associate is expected to carry out, within his or her capabilities, all reasonable requests by

management.

10. Maintain a professional demeanor while dealing with challenging situation or a difficult request.

11. Other duties as assigned by management.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.

1. Monitor special requests for guests

2. All other reasonable requests as required

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or the equivalent
