Job description

Robertson Trucking, an established, family-owned carrier, is seeking a proven professional to join our over-the-road fleet hauling steel coils, lumber, aluminum, and other flatbed freight with 48' Conestoga trailers. Enjoy consistent miles, percentage pay, and the simplicity of ELD-exempt glider trucks—while working with a safety-focused team that treats drivers with respect.

Hamilton, AL • 150-Mile Hiring Radius

Key Responsibilities
• Haul steel coils, building materials, aluminum, and general flatbed freight nationwide using 48' Conestoga trailers. Most lanes are N/S
• Secure loads to industry and DOT standards (steel coil securement experience required)
• Run 48 states with weekends home.
• Complete trip paperwork, inspections, and communication in a timely, professional manner
• Maintain compliance with all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety policies—clean, safe equipment provided

Requirements
• 2+ years verifiable OTR driving experience (Class A)
• 1+ year recent flatbed experience
• Proven steel-coil securement proficiency
• Acceptable MVR and PSP; no major violations in past 3 years
• Ability to operate manual transmissions and glider trucks (ELD-exempt)
• Live within roughly 150 miles of Hamilton, AL 35570
• Current DOT medical card & ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
