Job description

Job Title

Lift Truck Operator | Sunday- Thursday

Position Overview

This position is Sunday- Thursday 11pm-7am.

To safely transport carpet rolls from conveyor dumps to specific trailers or bin locations and from bin locations to specific trailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve roll from conveyor dump or bin location

  • Use RF unit to determine destination for roll

  • Place roll in specified location (bin or trailer)

  • Tape holes or loose ends in the plastic covering the roll

  • Take lift truck to battery station for battery replacement as needed

  • Raise/Lower dock plate

  • Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers

  • Adhere to normal work schedule

  • Work necessary overtime

  • Comply with company absenteeism/tardiness policy

Requirements:

  • Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck frequently during the shift

  • Must be watchful during battery changing process to ensure safety for battery changer

  • Must be able to sit on lift truck for entire shift
